The New York Yankees were originally the Baltimore Orioles (1901-02), so technically the first Oriole to be inducted was John McGraw. He played 3rd base and is second on the all-time wins record for a manager(2763.) He was elected into the second Hall of Fame class in 1937.

The earliest Oriole to be elected was Brooks Robinson, who debuted in 1955 (the Browns became the Orioles in 1954).
The former Oriole to be elected first to the Hall was Robin Roberts, who played for the team from 1962-65 and was elected in 1976.
Frank Robinson was elected 1982.
Brooks, 1983.
George Kell, also 1983.
Going back to the Browns era (1902-53) or original Milwaukee Brewers (1901) adds more players, but they were not actually Orioles.

Brooks Robinson was the "human vacuum cleaner" at 3rd base, basically if the ball was hit his way, it wasn't getting by him, incredible timing and range. The best defensive 3rd baseman to ever play the game. I imagine Orioles fans where lucky to see him play in his prime. As it was noted that Brooks was inducted in 1983, that was the same year the Orioles won their last world series. Talk about a treat for Orioles fans old enough to experience that year (I was only a year old).
Brooks along with along with the other Orioles hall of famers (and I assume other past Orioles) will be in Cooperstown to watch Cal Ripken get his induction.
