I am an American Muslim while my husband is Egyptian. If I would accidently disobey him he would just let me know and thats it, he would tell me. The only reason he would ever hit me would be if I would raise my voice to him, especially in public. I am always sweet and generous to him because I love him not because I fear from him. Its different though for my neighbor, her husband beats her and even throws water on top of her. I don't feel bad for her though since she breaks every rule of this culture. I live in Yemen so its pretty traditional here.

So many muslim women have to suffer consequences for not "obeying" their husbands, thats why.
And I'm not saying all, but alot of them do, I've talked with some, and honestly--I like to treat my man good, but I like to do so on my own accord--not because he says so.

I'm a Westerner woman. Muslim women learn a patriarchal society's values where men are like "kings", women are taught to please them, to live their lives putting males's interests before theirs. I personally would not call it "sweetness ".

since i am middle eastern. i watch so many movies. i always imagined being with the one who is going to love me so much and i will care for his needs. examle i am not talking abt forcing myself to clean iron his clothes everyday or make him food. but out of so much love i am going to make him msiss me when i am away. we like to take care of them. but i except lot and lots of love in return. givign me the world. we are raised that way. not all of us i know couple of women who are muslim and think their husbands need to do their own ****. anyways it all comes to love. but i seen most of the white girls or mexican or black say that they love their husband or spouse but they do not want to lift their hand to take care for their man. because u are supposed to take care of urself. we put everything into it. sometime the man still hurt us sumtimes we get lucky.

Because if they are not a total slave he will have her head chopped off in the town square for disobedience.
