here in the UK it is a sponge pudding with jam inside it, rolled up, like a swiss roll type thing

there was once a container that held small things like beads and other craft items then. it rolled up to close itself........it was called a roly poly too

We have these little bugs that roll themselves up into little balls, we call them Roly Poly's.

well when i waz born i waz this cute chubby cherubic baby so guess wht my mom named me roli lol.........and as a kid i used to get my cheeks pulled all the time becoz they were round and red ...and waz called roly poly hate it anywaz lol .........thankfully got rid of all the baby fat lol...well roly poly is anything cute with nice round cheeks ....someone chubby i guess

its a sponge pudding with layers of jam inside & baked in the oven..lovely with custard.
