President Bush is a moderate trying to appeal to a broad majority of Amercans.?

Do you think he would be more or less popular if he had been a true conservative? And I understand the frothing at the mouth liberals would never support him. I'm just curious what conservatives think.

I think he would be more popular among conservatives but less popular with liberal and moderates so overall he would be less popular. I think he has tried to build bridges between conservatives and Democrats but with the war on terror it has proved much harder than anyone would have expected in 2000.
