It's very simple . Some one can drive a blind person to a bank atm or for that matter any atm then the blind person can get out and do his or her banking without revealing their pin number to anyone. Of course they (the blind) could walk to the atm. T4

So blind people can use them!!! Think outside the box. At least when it comes to dumb jokes please. Why would you pay extra to have 2 sets of parts made, so Braille isn't at the drive through, only to have a blind person as a passenger in the back seat pull up and want to use it? Especially if they pull up in a cab.
Edit: Oh, just read they put them on there because regulations say they have to.

Same reason that they put Braille on the cruise control buttons in cars - so that blind drivers can use them.

Because it's cheaper to use machines that have the braille on them than it is to manufacture special machines that don't have it.

the only logical reason would be, most atm's are universal in design and feature, and bank lobby atm's have braille and are used by the blind. one design works for all.
