to do it on the cheap get the following:-
Sand, soap powder, flour or similar granular powder
Lots of lemon juice
Stiff bristle brush
dustpan and brush
Sprinkle the powder onto the oil until oil does not soak through. Leave for approx 1 / 2 hour
Sweep up powder onto dustpan and dispose of
Squirt lemon juice into oil and scrub affected area with stiff bristle brush
Rinse away with water
Repeat lemon juice application as necessary

Wet the oil patch with water.
Tip some washing powder onto the patch.
Scrub with a stiff brush.
Leave for 15 minutes.
Pour boiling water over the area.

The other answers for cat litter are correct to a point. The litter will absorb it as long as it's wet. But once it dries, the driveway would need to be pressure washed with a solvent to eliminate the stain.

you could use a drive way cleaner from Halfords or B/Q, or in stead get a bottle of washing up liquid and a stiff broom pour the liquid over the affected area and scrub like mad and when thoroughly worked in wash of using loads of clean water preferably using a hose.

Dump some flour on it, and leave it to soak up. Brush away the flour and you should find the oil is all gone.
