NO. Bush was the only president referred to as a chimp. The presidency will never be respected the same again. You can thank da chimpster for that. Maybe dems will bring respect back to the presidencey in 08. Anything is better than 8 years of failure.

Der Bushleiter makes me ashamed to be a human being, let alone an American.
He has no respect for the Constitution.
He has deliberately and intentionally started a war of conquest against a country for no other reason than its possession of oil reserves.
He has established a bizarre brand of Christianity as the natonal religion.
No child left behind has hamstrung the educational system by mandating that school districts teach to a test instead of educating the students.
He has trashed the economy and established imbalances in the distributional economics of the entire planet.
He has turned al Qaeda from a nuisance into a serious, continuing threat to world peace.
He has made the United States into the laughing stock of the planet.
Most importantly, he has taken American over to the Dark Side. The United States is the only nation on the planet that has regulations describing the ways in which people are to be tortured. And there is little doubt but that none of us is safe from the Star Chamber and instititionalized torture that Bush and Gonzales have written into law.
The final point will not be written until January 2008. I, however, intend to be out of the country from November 2007 until January 2008, because I fully expect a coup d'etat. I do not believe that Bush or Cheney will leave office. Note in particular that Bush issued an executive order last month in which he reserves unto the President (with nobody else having any input) the power to determine when the National State of Emergency is of such gravity as to require extraordinary steps to preserve the continuity of the government.
Eisenhower wrote such a regulation during the Cold War, but Eisenhower's version required the concurrence of the Chief Justice of the US, the Speaker of the House, the Attorney General and the Secretary of State to sign off before habeas corpus and elections could be suspended. The only exception was if weapons of mass destruction had so disrupted the government that normal operations were impossible.
Now, the President has the right to declare martial law for any reason, without anyone else having the authority to say that it's not such a hot idea. This supplements the earlier regulation perrmitting the President to order the seizure of the
person and property of any person he determines is undermining the war effort in Iraq.
The USA is now a police state on the model of the Deutsches Reich.
And there are Americans who applaud the end of democracy in America. Probably they won't object until they are herded into the showers. And then it will be too late. Congratulations all.

Finally!! A patriotic American who knows that the whole reason I have been the most popular president in history is that I strive to make all people proud of their American heritage!!!
I am most certainly arguably, the best President America has ever had. In terms of my place in history, I'll be remembered alongside the greatest presidents including Washington, Jefferson, Reagan, and a fellow Republican by the name of Abraham Lincoln. Now, it's impossible for me to list ALL of my accomplishments with such a short amount of space (and time), but I'll list a couple of things me (a great man) has done.
1) I reestablished good Christian Values in the White House, and America at large - (Christian values like killin' muslims!! heh heh).
2) I have made you safe from terrorists through my audacious military efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq that have resulted in record support and recruiting for terrorist groups.
3) I have continuously fought for Middle Class Americans by cutting taxes for billionaires. A move that also made the economy thoroughly unstable and continuing to baloon out of control, gauranteeing a depression to make previous ones look like a day at the beach!
4) I have razed educational standards for our kids by not funding a "no child left behind" program that was grossly misguided in the first place!
I can go on & on with my accomplishments. To sum it up, I just want to say thanks to me for being Preznit!!
Sincerely,
Dubya

I am very proud of my American Heritage. Regardless of who the president is. Period.
I think the president has done some wonderful things. I also think he has done some very dishonorable things.History will decide how he is thought of, that isn't up to me or you.
I will say this....I truly believe he thinks everything he does is in the best interest of the United States....however illogical his viewpoint may be.
There are way too many people doing the bashing without offering any plausible (or less far-fetched) solutions to the problems that we all must realize......Islamic extremists wish to destroy us and our way of life.
So the best possible sceanrio at this point would be if the presidency of GW Bush opens the eyes of the American people and causes change in leadership of this country.
Oh...and Steph...I speak for most Americans when I say We are glad you are Canadien too.

No President could ever make me proud of my American heritage, My great grandfather who came here from Poland, and homesteaded a farm that is still in my family today makes me proud. My grandfather who raised 8 kids on that same farm with no help from the government makes me proud. My dad who never finished school because it was up to him to help his dad farm, and put food on the table, he never learned to read or write, but he always had a good paying job that took care of his family, and he never had to ask for help from any person or government agency those are the things that make me proud of my American Heritage because the fact is that kind of success story could only happen here in America. I'm not bashing Bush or any other president, but it's my heritage that makes me proud to be American.

I think Bush has done a great job considering what/who he had to clean up after. I'm very proud to be an American.
I do wish the Bush haters would realize that if Clinton would have taken care of Bin Laden in the months preceeding 9/11 Bush would have to be doing it now, since he (Clinton) did have the "intellegence" that the bombings would happen.

american herritage is what it is and yes i am very proud to be an american. our history is made up of honor and shame, good and evil, tragedy and triumph, etc....
i am not ashamed of my president and am not about to speculate on how history will treat him. at the very least i respect the office of the president and the election process. and no politico can take away my pride in being an american. my pride in what we have here is so much bigger than that!
in this country we are given the right to make mistakes, and given time we usually clean up our mistakes. history will be the final judge on this president.

I am proud to be an American Citizen and I am also pround to have voted for George W. Bush TWICE. I will miss Bush when he leaves office but I hope his brother John Ellis "Jeb" Bush runs for PResident and WINS, that way Americans who do not approve of George W. Bush can deal with another four years of another President Bush.

He's not one of the best presidents we ever had, but he has done many things to earn him a place in history.
He will be remembered as a great man, a great president, for doing what he thought was right even though it was terribly unpopular. Eventually he will be known as the man who saved the west from destruction at the hands of terrorists.
I heard that Jimmy Carter called Bush the "worst president we ever had". Huh? Since when do you go to Jimmy Carter to determine if someone is doing a good job as president. Jimmy Carter only said that because HE doesn't want to be known as the worst president ever.
