There appears to be a growing concept that elected and appointed officials can select and enforce only those laws they want too. Several mayors, law enforcement leaders and state officials have taken it upon themselves to decide how they will handle immigration and illegal aliens in their area. They are not enforcing laws but rather rolling out the welcome mat inspiring more illegal aliens to enter our country. Should the federal government cut off all federal funds and support to those communities and states that refuse to obey our federal immigration laws? All federal funds /support money comes from the taxes you and I pay. We should not be paying people for illegal acts. Any funds that can be used directly or indirectly for social programs, education, health and welfare, unemployment or roads and streets is tax payer money. Ideally the locals would see these elected/ appointed officials removed from office (now; not next election) for violating the law
