i LOVE Marlena, always have loved her character....but John i CANNOT stand. and it's not cause they are an "older couple" ppl that are disgusted by older couples being romantic need to get a life...i just HATE John, he's FUGLY!
the best 4 months of Days were when John was in a coma!
then i didn't have to hear his voice, or see that puckered lip-raised-eyebrow w/hand-to-chin THING he does!
the man gets ON MY NERVES!
i don't think it's so much that i hate seeing Marlena kiss him...as i HATE seeing John kiss her. i think Deirdre Hall deserves a LOT of credit for getting through those scenes w/out barfing! lol

I like John and Marlena as a couple and I’m cool with them having a great love for each other and show affection, but I think the writers have been going overboard with it lately. It seems every time they are on screen, they can’t have a conversation without it leading them to making out. The writers should make them flirt playfully with each other and make out at the appropriate times.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks so. Everyone is always talking about John and Marlena being a super couple but that doesn't mean we have to see them make out like teenagers all the time.

Personally I can't stand either of them. I think they are both really bad actors! Whenever John talks it looks likes he's thinking too hard or is trying to go to the bathroom! Marlena is just boring - she needs to get possessed again!

Why is it that only the young people can be kissing. You know older people love to show their feelings too. Just wait until you hit their age. Come on love is natural and expressing it is just the same. Please grow up. Close your eyes like you did when you were a kid and your parents didn't want you to see grown ups kissing.
I am past their age and still enjoy a great kissing session now and then.

Yes I hate it, whenever Marlena talks her eyes are closed. I can't stand Jett always tryina show off his body either, I mean yea nice that you look good and have a nice body, but put a shirt on man

I agree..... I hate the way Marlena narrows her eyes and thinks this must make her look sexy.... (maybe she is trying to squint to read the cue cards and can't see them.......) that was mean but omg, she is too old to be acting all whispery and coy...... good grief..... and John has got crow's feet that even lighting and makeup is not making go away..... sorry!! I did like them once but I am over them now......

They're so gross! I hate the way Marlena always moans while she's talking. It sounds like she's reaching climax. The way they kiss grosses me out too. They open their mouths so wide you can almost see the saliva - yuck!!!
P.S. It has nothing to do with their age - it's the technique that's gross!

It it is wonderful to see an older couple enjoying a happy relationship but the PDAs must stop. This is just not how people their age act in public - not a good example to the teens either.

Just do what I do....record the show and fast forward through anything you're not interested in. It saves a lot of time for you to be doing something else.
