It is evil, yes. The bad reason means that the intention was evil. If the result came out good, that will mean that trust is built and therefore the next time, the evil intent will likely cause even more damage.

It depends on the situation and what the good thing is. Technically, as a moral high-horse will inform you, it is probably bad. But there are many times when bad intentions bring out the best, just as good intentions can cause a lot of harm. Also, if you realize that your intentions are bad, you've taken the first step in fixing them. Recognizing wrong is the first step to making something right.

I guess it's the same as doing the bad thing for a good reason. However, who can define what a good thing for a bad reason is and vice versa?.. Everything is a matter of interpretation.

I personally prefer people who had good intentions to do something good, but in the end, as long as you do a good deed, it's better than not having any motivation at all to do a good thing.

I HATE to get two points for this, but can you be more specific or give an example and I'll revise my answer. I'm intrigued. I just want more to go on.
This time in the philosophy section has been awesome- keep it up and keep em coming.
Please revise this question.

It's good to do good. regardless of the motivation. Not that I am religious, but in the bible it says: even Satan serves god.
