And how popular would he be?

No.
First, he wouldn't have pieced together the pretzel logic that lead us to invade Iraq.
Second, he wouldn't have stopped the FBI investigations into the "Muslims that were taking flight lessons and were more interested in flying than landing" thereby possibly crushing the 9/11 attacks before they even happened.
Third, if 9/11 happened on his watch he'd have pursued those responsible, not Iraq.
Fourth, it is very likely that he would have made it a national priority to become energy self-sufficient (out with oil, in with ethanol & bio-diesel) rather than more dependant on foriegn oil.
No matter what he would have done I doubt that his approval rating would have sunk as low as Bush's has, but then again, he's not as low a lifeform as Bush is either.

I really do not think we would be in this Iraq mess.. he had no axe to grind for daddy or the oil companies.

Would we be at war.. probably.. but in Afghanistan, where we should be.

How well would he be liked.. well even Bush was not criticized when at first he went after bin ladin as he should have.. so I don't think Gore would have been either

But you can bet the Republicans would be attacking him in some way over something.. that is what they do best.. but that is the way politics goes

Best thing would be that we would not be losing so many in Iraq.. that is Bush's cross to bear and his responsibility and shame.

We would probably be focusing more on Global Warming than the Iraq war. And anytime we arn't fighting in a country that doesn't want us there, we are more popular.

NO! Had Gore been elected there would have been no attack on 9/11.

nah there wouldnt be a war, but he wouldnt be very popular either. it was because he lost that he shed that uptight image and became more human- which a lot of people like now.

No we won't be in Iraq.

The fact is we would not know how popular Gore would be simply because he had no platform when he ran.

Yes, it was decided in 2000 before the election that Saddam would be removed. When he insisted that oil be sold on the EU vs the USD, he sealed his fate.

We wouldn't be in Iraq.

We probably wouldn't be in Afghanistan either.

And the economy wouldn't be as strong as it is now because he wouldn't have cut tax rates. Either unemployment would be this good but CPI higher or interest rates higher, or CPI and rates the same and unemployment worse.

We would be more popular and less Americans would have died.

We would have gotten out long ago as DEMANDED by the Republicans.

He would have prevented the Sep 11 attacks altogether and Osama bin laden would be in a federal prison.
