I would try to center it with the window if it is high enough.

Otherwise I wouldn't com down more than 6 feet. That will put it two thirds up which is right with the decorating guidelines my cousin told me.

Center it in the window above the door. I achieved this with the help of an "A frame" ladder and a close friend.

My suggestion is to protect your floor and then build a scaffold to a safe height. Use the scaffold to hang your chandelier and then tear down the scaffold.

We have to reach high/tight places all the time and that is how we gain access.

Mine hangs in the center of the large window obove my front doors. That's where my electrician said it should go and it looks great.
