No but I believe 100% that both partners must accept the way they do love each other without trying to change it into something that is different than what it really is

I recently was wondering this myself and purchased the book, "The 5 Love Languages" by Gary Chapman. It explains how each person has a primary love language (words of affirmation, quality time, service work, physical touch, or giving/receivinggifts). The important thing is discovering your primary language (what makes you feel loved the most), and telling your partner so they will know what to do to fill up your "love tank." The book provides numerous examples of real-life couples with different love languages, and has a quiz in the back for both partners to take in order to determine their own love language. I found it extremely informative, and I think it will help me and my boyfriend get back on track in our own relationship. The book can be purchased on Amazon.com for about $5-10.

Not necessarily the same way. But they have to be for the most part "on the same page" with the big stuff.
No two people are alike, so how can we love "The same way"
Besides, men love different than women too.
For it to last, both people have to want it to more than anything....that's the simplicity of it.

Both have to love each other. But one loving the other will not cause the other to love back.
Marriage/relationship is like a house, it has to be held up by both sides, and stay relatively equal.

Of course, I've been married for 36 years and love has always been a two street. We are very happy and I'd be with her now if I could. I'm retired and she still wants to work about a year or maybe two.

No, everyone loves a different way! My boyfriend shows his love by bringing me on dates and surprising me everyonce and a while, i show my love by cooking him dinner and bringing him back gifts when i go on vacation. We both love a different way which makes us stronger. I think if you loved the same way, it would make the relationship weaker!

First off, I have no idea how you measure love. Is there a love-o-meter? Until you can measure it, you can never define what "the same way" or a "different way" means.

somehow yes... though i think it doesnt really matter if they love differently in their own unique ways, as long as they LOVE each other, that's enough, doesn't neccessarliy matter how they do
