I was the only person of color (I'm half black and half white), and I worked with all white people, and I wore a Richard Pryor shirt that said Kiss My Black ***, and I got sent home, and told that I wasn't allowed to "participate in the next casual Friday." I did anyways, and said I forgot.

I'm probably lying. My husband has that tee-shirt and he ALWAYS gets a great conversation going when he wears it. Another is too long to put here, but it is a 'warning label' that says in large letters "Do NOT eat this tee shirt' with all of the other 'legal gabble' below ... that is also good for great conversations. And one that doesn't actually 'say' anything ... it has a really cute baby chick on it, and most people notice that ... but if you look closely, that baby chick is 'flipping you the bird' ... we BOTH have that one, it's called Angry Oliver, and that is OUR FAVORITE teeshirt of all time!

I've never had a job where I could wear my own t-shirt. But my favorite one in high school was one with a girl sizzling in a tanning bed and it said "Fake N Bake".

had to come in on a Saturday when I had other plans so I wore a t-shirt that said "I can't be fired, slaves have to be sold." The boss thought it was funny.
I thought he was clueless.
