Yes! Russians were the most successful, they took over half the continent. They called it the Russian Empire, then the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, but it was an invasion, colonization and takeover of northern and central Asia.

Britain colonized and invaded India and Southern Asia, as well as China during the Opium Wars of the early 19th century. Hence places like Hong Kong sprouted up, as well as other European city-states like Macau and Singapore.

The French colonized and invaded Vietnam (French Indochine), the Spanish invaded the Philippines and the Dutch invaded Indonesia. Even the Germans colonized a small part of Southeast Asia.

Of course there were the invasions of Alexander the Great of Macedonia, who invaded all of Southwest Asia to the Ganges River in India. And don't forget that Roman invaded and conquered Persia, taking with it all of Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq and this whole corner of the Asian continent.

Yes, the Dutch, English, and the French invaded Asia.
That doesn't mean that the Asians never invaded Asia. The Japanese also took over "a ton of Asia" from 1937 -1945.
Thanks for the thumbs down - tell me which part of my answer do you feel is incorrect?

Alexander the Great invaded Persia and the rest of the Middle East and then into India.

The French used to own Vietnam
The Spanish used to own the Phillipines (named after King Philip)

The British took over Hong Kong after the two Opium Wars.
Four major powers essentially dived up Shanghai andkept Chinese out of their ares - (I think it was Britain France and two others)
The Russians had a war with China in the early 20th century
The Russians had a war with Japn over ownership of Korea.

I am sure there is more, but these are the stuff I could think of of the top of my head.

Great Britain once controlled India, and Germany, France, Britain, and others once split up China amongst themselves during the age of imperialism. To this day, when Chinese natives learn English in Hong Kong, they often develop a British accent, because Britain still has a great amount of influence over there.
