People should sleep where they're comfy. Have you tried breath right strips? If you're snoring is that bad, you experience breathing problems, and/or you stop breathing in your sleep, you could have something more serious going on. If it's terribly serious, go to the doctor and have him/her assess you for sleep apnea.
Try telling your husband what's going on, and ask for his support in the matter. He loves you, so he should be willing to give you support.

It's not essential that a married couple sleep in the same bed EVERY night, but I know that it's probably nice. If you have a snoring problem, try the "Breath Right" Nasal Strip things. If those don't work, talk to your husband (or doctor because if the snoring is that bad, it could be dangerous) and tell him that you miss him at night. If he's a softy, he'll sleep there again.

I don't think a married couple *must* sleep in the same bed. It really depends on the couple. In many cultures, separate beds are as traditional as the same bed is in the western culture, so objectively there doesn't seem to be the "wrong" and the "right" way. I prefer sleeping in my own bed, and being that my husband has a snoring problem, it is the only option for us at the moment. But others say they cannot fall asleep without their mate there. It varies from person to person.
In fact, check out this article:

As long as you and your husband still have an active sex life and get along, then there's nothing really wrong with sleeping separate, as long as the only reason is so that you can both get a good nights sleep.
You can go to a doctor about your snoring, or you can lose weight (extra weight is often a contributing factor to snoring and can make it worse).
Good luck to you!

There are no set rules. I've been married for only a year and my husband falls asleep on the couch allllll the time. At first it bothered me, but then I realized I liked to sprawl my feet all across the bed, drool all over my pillow, and fart at any moment.
My parents rarely sleep in the same bed. My dad snores and kicks and he's like 240 lbs, but they show affection to each other all day. So i believe it's ok to sleep apart as long as it not caused by fighting.

Well honey that is easily fixable:) I think with what you described he probably misses it too. Have you tried doing anything about your snoring problem? They have all different things you can buy with out a prescription. Try them or speak with your doctor, I would say your husband is only on the couch because of the noise or maybe you can get him ear plugs. Good Luck

Wel um, i dont think you always have to, but i guess it will keep you guys closer together. Because you say you miss him when he's on the couch, and that may take you further and further apart. Why don't you try different ways of sleeping so you snore less maybe? And its up to you whether you always sleep in the same bed, but i guess it may help to keep the closeness in your relationship :) hope it helps :)

maybe he is not getting a good night sleep. I suggest you try to see your doctor so you can know the cause of your snoring. If your snoring can be remedied, then your husband will not be deprived of a good night sleep and your warm embrace.

There are many things you could do to stop the snoring I suggest seeing your doctor about it and figuring out what options there are to fix it. Then the problem of your hubby sleeping on the couch will fix itself.
