Go with your doctor's recommendations. When it comes to the help of your baby, I would err on the side of caution. Don't be scared. I had a c-section, it was super quick.
Good luck!

Don't be scared! Follow your Doc's advice !
I had a C-section 7 weeks ago and recovered well.
It's fast, and these days you can be awake and experience the birth of your baby. It's not that bad. You will be sore for a few weeks. My scar is so small and so low, it's hard to believe that my son came out there! You'll see, it's nothing bad! It's nothing to be afraid of, good luck! I am excited for you, any birth...vaginal or c-section are magical!

my daughters first child was almost too big to come through the birth canal and when she did, it took the doctor forever to get her out with using a cap of some kind....she was stuck and her shoulder ended up being hurt after she finally came out...it wasn't broken but wouldn't move for a few days... now my daughter is due at the end of august and her doctor is now going to do a c-section on her to make sure the baby doesn't get stuck again. They do c-sections everyday, and are safe. i would rather have a c-section than put my baby at risk. good luck!

if you delivered a 7 lb baby you can deliver a 9 lb baby. Dr.s love c-sections because they won't have to go deliver at 3 am, and they get alot more mont for a c-section then a natural birth. Unless there is an indication during labor that the baby is in distress, stick to the vaginal birth.

before you consent to a c section have a fetal pelvic index done...they will take an xray of your pelvic area and then do and ultrasound and a special dr will do some math w/ all the measurments and it will determine if you are able to give birth naturally...i had one done to see and it turned out my sons shoulders were just too big to deliver naturally! I would not get a c section unless you had to and w/ this you will know for sure if you need to have one!

Don't worry about the C-section. If you actually have to have one you will be totally numb there and won't feel a thing. I have had 2 with no serious problems. There is some pain afterwards, but nothing that some good pain medicine can't help.

I had an emergency c-section after about 27 hours of labor. I was very scared, but it was for nothing. I was awake and it was over very quickly. You should listen to your doctor. He knows what is best for your baby.
