I haven't read any of them and do not plan to, but all the questions are about it. It is kinda annoying. Sorry I am just bored at work.

YAWN! I wanted something to read other than Harry Potter don't you people understand a question when you read it?

Naw I upset some nerdy Harry Potter Fans. LOL. You people are soo easy. If someone told you another series was just as popular you'd be out raving about that. Oh did ya also by beanie babies when they were popular. GAG

Wow, I agree with you Potter is a series. There are many other books we could question. however Potter is the flavor of the day. eople do with the trend

I would enjoy a question of the merits of some of the modern day classics of American or British lit, however most people here would not know a classic unless it was assigned as a school assignment. I do find that too bad

I am sorry you are bored at work-try a book. Ray Bradbury has written a few, or Douglas Adams'a the Hitchhiker Guide to the Galaxy and its 4 sequels

Okay, here are some suggestions. If you are maybe 13, somewhere around there, read some of the later books in the Camp Confidential Series by Melissa J. Morgan. You might find the earlier ones too tame. Also, my sister is 15 and reads a lot of Sarah Dessen. If you're older than that... sorry, donnou what to tell you. But I do love Harry Potter, so be careful what you say. :)

Of course, the world doesn't revolve around Harry Potter only. I also read books by VC Andrews, one of my favorite authors. I like to read Stephen King books and another favorite series of mine is called His Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman...great stuff!

its all PR if a better series of books was given as much publicity as this one they would do well, the books are the wags of the literary world, little substance, lots of money thrown at it, no original ideas and can't think for itself.

The discworld books by Terry Pratchett are much more fun, humour at its own expense and other literary characters!

I have though got the first 6 potter books, something to read when i don't have to think will get 7 but when the price goes down,as it will.

the only good thing to come out of this potter craze is its got kids inerested in reading!

Apparently not. Seriously, I went to the midnight release of the new book with a few of my friends, and we kept laughing at all the people who looked like they didn't know what to do with themselves in a book store and had never read a single book in their lives but Harry Potter... grrrr
Try Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card.
If that doesn't do it for you, The Picture of Dorian Gray is a good one. or Brave New World. depends on what you like.

Sure. I'm reading a great series by John Marsden at the moment. It's called the "Tomorrow" series and it's about a bunch of kids who go camping in the Australian bush and when they come back they find their country's been invaded and all their family and friends have been taken prisoner. They decide to fight back and it basically tells their story. It's really good!
