yeah, there have been a couple guys to wear them in the past. you need polarized lenses though, otherwise what you see in front of you is slightly off.
i used to wear a pair during practice, and i couldnt figure out why i was screwing up simple things like trapping the ball. the lenses were the issue.

Edgar Davids wears prescription sunglasses, I don't know if I've seen other players wear them.

I don't play soccer, but I always have to have sunglasses on while in the sun, my eyes are sensitive, I so I would stick with basic black. :)

no because that would inhibit my peripheral views. If I could wear sunglasses without inhibiting my view, I would wear pink ones because that's my favorite color.
