why do bald faced hornets go after other yellow jackets, why cant the yellow jackets go after the bfhs?

i have seen blad faced hornets go after and catch flies on manure and even yellow jackets that were there for the sole purpose of catching flies *** well.

B-F Hornets are larger and more aggressive than Yellowjackets, and habitually attack and catch other flying insects; Yellowjackets go for insects or other meat that's not very mobile.
