I have a $350-720 price limit, and I want to know what bass is good for Primus, some Rush, Pixies, Black Flag, Clash, Dinosaur Jr, RHCP, etc. If any basses fit this description, please list your answer.

Fender precision bass, or Fender jazz, that's what Geddy Lee of Rush uses, and Les Claypool owns one.

I have an Aria bass. Bought it for £110 (about $220). Plays fine for me

I bought a nice Alvarez 4 string for $180.00 about 3 yrs. ago. For your price range you should be able to get a nice one. I've always kinda liked the Epiphone Firebird.

Brendon from the receiving end of sirens is selling his gibson bass... its used.. he used it for recording their last two albums and toured with it.. but its quality.
