it isnt dangerous, it is just kinda gross and could cause a yeast infection. if you are ever at rite aid or wal-mart buy some panty-liners. or talk to a grandma or aunt about it, or ask a friend to borrow some. once your start your acctual period, it depends on how heavy it is. heres a little guideline...
very light-change every 4 to 5 hours, or if you notice any odor then definatley CHANGE IT.
medium-change every 2 or 3 hours. or when you go to the bathroom.
very heavy/heavy- change eer 40mins/1hour and/or every time you go to the bathroom.

You should talk to your mom about getting some pantyliners. Obviously she's going to notice that her pads are missing if she hasn't already. Don't be embarassed- everything is normal. The pantyliners (I like Always the best) will make a WORLD of difference. You can barely tell you're wearing them. If you had to, you could go a whole school day with a pantyliner, but it's best to change midday. I don't think you should go a whole day with a pad.

I'm not sure about the dangerous part but have done the same thing and use to put baby powder on the pad to that helped with the wet part and being uncomfortable. pads are made to absorb that kind of thing but they really don't do as good of a job as we would like for them to. but on a serious note if there is an oder to the discharge you may need to see a doctor. questions like that you can call a doctors office and ask they will tell you.

Sure it's safe to wear a pad that long; just make sure you put on a fresh one right before you leave for school and change it as soon as you get home. (I understand not wanting to use school bathrooms- I actually have a condition that makes me physically unable to pee with others around, so that part doesn't sound weird to me at all.) Keep a close watch on the discharge, though, and tell your mom if it turns green, smells really gross, or has a weird texture ("normal" includes watery and sort of gooey, but it shouldn't be clumpy). It may be awkward to tell her, but you don't want to put your health at stake. By the way, all that discharge is trying to tell you something- your period is probably coming soon.

You should change it every 4-6 hours because bacteria can start growing in the pad and you will want to change it for sanitary reasons. You should be able to get panty liners at a drug store for less than $5. You should really talk to your mom about it as well. Just tell her that you need panty liners. I doubt that she will freak out or get embarassed.
BTW have you EVER tried talking to your mom about this stuff? you may be more embarassed about it than she is if you have never brought it up before.

you should wear a pad for about 4 hours. if you dont change often enough it will start to stink ALOT! its embarrassing! you really really really should bring some pads, especially if it gets heavy. if you take any risks you will eventualy regret it and look back at it as a learning experience. i think that you should bring some and not take risks. you really dont want to leak anyway you should change about every 4 hours or less! :)

It's not exactly dangerous, it's more sanitary, cos' they start smelling after u have them for a while, at least when u have ur period they do.. maybe u should just tell ur mom to buy u some pantyliners since they're smaller and more comfortable....

You are fine for the 8 hours. It's mostly if they are too wet or too smelly that you'll want to change.
Caution though, if you are getting that much discharge, is it clear or cloudy/colored? Is there odor?
My hunch is that you've got a vaginal infection that needs to be treated.
Time for a Dr.'s visit.

Depends on how heavy the flow and how smelly the discharge.
Do you get an allowance? Buy your own pads. Your mom knows you are taking her pads btw.
