I don't know about UK but in the US the Speaker of the House of Representatives would be next after the Vice President.

In the US, the Constitutional line of succession for president in the event both president and vice president are incapacitated or killed, the next in line is Speaker of the House. In the UK, I don't know--someone from England would have to answer that one.
