and see for themselves whether or not it says to behead the unbelievers?

Don't take my word for it, don't argue about context (as if there were a context in which beheading would be appropriate), don't try to call other people stupid for not "interpreting" X to mean Y - - - buy yourself a Koran and see for yourself what it says.

Don't take my word for it - take Muhammad's word.

Here are few choice nuggets.
When the sacred months are over slay the idolaters wherever you find them. Arrest them, besiege them, and lie in ambush everywhere for them.

Q 9:5
Slay them wherever you find them. Drive them out of the places from which they drove you. Idolatry is worse than carnage.

Q 2:190-3
Men have authority over women because God has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient.

Q 4:34
Prophet, make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal rigorously with them. Hell shall be their home: an evil fate.

People fear the unknown. Assumptions are made and passed along to others who don't know what they are talking about. Thousands of people who criticize the Koran and other religious texts do us out of ignorance. They have never read these books for themselves but are quick to criticize the contence of those books. How sad. I am a Christian and not a Mormon but I have a Book of Mormon, a Qoran, Bagavad Ghita and several other religious texts and, of course, different Bibles. One needs to read before criticizing. I believe I can criticize any of these texts because I have read them. Can you?
