If you had any dishes in there that had red sauce on them, they are stained. Red sauces stain and to prevent that in the future, your best bet is to rinse those things off before putting them in the wash with other plastics.
And if it was the red sauce that did it, it's not going to hurt anything.
And for the person above who doesn't know any better - dishwashers ARE sterilizers. How do you think they get serilized? It's from heat and steam.

did they go a funny colour because other dishes were in there.
You should avoid washing bottles in dishwasher (teats etc)
you should put them in alone and thats just a waste.
best way is soapy water by hand.
Also dishwasher tablets make babys teats taste horrible if they have a fragrance.

You do not put things that are not dishwasher safe in the dishwasher. Besides, if you happen to have those newer dishwasher, there is a button there a program that runs as desinfection or sterilize. But you should use dishwasher safe teats and lids. Just for your information.

It's the heat from the dishwasher discoloured the item's
they wont go back to how they were. The best way to
clean teats is with tablets or liquid from the chemist.

you dont you need to buy new ones and learn for future reference teats dont do good in a dish washer.

I'm afraid you can't. Plastic colour will fade or look dull, it'd be easier to buy new ones if they look unsightly!

i dont have kids so i don't know for sure but shouldn't u be sterilising those rather than putting them in the dishwasher
