considering the quality in here really lacks in general...way more mouthers than thinkers

I have always maintained that Baby Boomers contributed nothing of substance to our nation, and an awful lot of detriment
That's not to say there aren't some great individuals and patriots of that generation (theres plenty) but their legacy will be forever tarnished

Now hold on, not all Baby-Boomers are alcoholics. Many are hooked on illegal drugs or prescription medication, instead. Also, implying that there is both a mother and father present in every household - however disfunctional - is overly optimistic. Remember what the divorce rate is like. Single-parent families are very nearly the norm. When two parents are present, they may not both be parents of the same children.

Very little actually. The question of the problems with todays youth has many answers. The main problem is the breakdown of the traditional family unit. A child who observes their parents living in a loving and committed relationship will have a tendency to model the behavior towards others. Education is paramount and the watering down of historically significant events by Liberal school boards and state legislatures is affecting the ability of well intentioned teachers to do their jobs. A society which glamorizes rap, vulgarity, material wealth and lacks moral fortitude is a broken society.

I have to agree. The ME first generation along with their drugs and lack of basic personal responsibility have undermined this country even more than the patriot act.
