You can tell you're visting a fascist country when no one you talk to - absolutely no one - ever complains in public that thier government is a bunch of fascists...

That said, most well-known countries do not actually follow fascist ideaologies. Syria would be one example of a modern fascist state.


Many others you might think of that way, are not technically fascist. Russia isn't, for instance, China is still technically communist, as is the DPRK, Saudi Arabia is a monarchy (monarchs can be totalitarian or tyrants, but it's not a fascist form of government). The USA, of course, is a 'Social Democracy' with hardly a trace of fascism (true fascist are regarded as fringe lunatics, at best) - that you hear people complaining openly about what a fascist Bush II is, is simply proof that those complaining are /not/ living in a fascist state.

North Koreans are on average 11 inches shorter than their South Korean friends.

Russia just passed a law that says you can't go within 15 miles of the beach without government premisson. They also supply towns with energy which they turn off in june when it's still 30 degress.

We have it so good over here, except for libs trying to run peoples lives with laws that control behavior like, no smoke here, car has to get this much mileage, can't buy a gun, must cook without trans fats, and if you do any of that you go to jail or we put you out of business.
