. i ovulated last week,we had unprotected sex the 17,18,20th and 21st. when would be a good time to take a pregnancy test?? my period is due around august 1st or 2nd.

Well I say you can actually take one now if you wanted to there is pregnancy tests that detect the pregnancy hormone before you even miss a pregnancy. It should be accurate if you take one now especially since your period is due soon. If you are pregnant GOOD LUCK with it.

Even the most senstative pregnancy test can't detect it more than 5 days before your period is due and that is rare.
Clear Blue Easy Digital is the best, its the most sensative...I got a + on it 5 days before my period was due with my daughter and a + this time around the day my period was due when no other tests was picking up the hormone.
Its best to wait at least 2 days before your period if not the day of.

It is way too soon to test. Even the tests that say you can test 5 days before your missed period aren't really accurate this early on. You are still a week or more away from your period. Here are the stats for the early home pg tests-- 69% of women 4 days before their expected period, in 83% of women 3 days before their expected period, in 93% of women 2 days before their expected period, and in 93% of women 1 day before their expected period.
