Agreed - cons need someone to think and decide for them.

If Liberals are so smart, why do they let Al Gore and the liberal media do their thinking for them?
hate to break it to you, but it you get your opinions from a hypocrite performing stupid concerts, you are an imbecile, this goes for conservatives out there too. It just seems more prevalent with the liberal side of the aisle.

We do? I missed that memo, I didn't know we were supposed to get our marching orders from TV or Radio. Where do you people come up with this stuff. I could just as easily ask why liberals let all other media outlets think for them? I'm sure some people do this, but don't be so naive to generalize all conservatives. A true conservative is a liberal who has been "mugged by life". We'd all love it if everyone thought like the liberals, we just realize the world doesn't work that way.

So because Fox News is the highest rated cable television news station, and because Rush Limbaugh has the highest rated syndicated talk radio show in the country, all conservatives are idiots? If anything, this tells me that that there are more conservatives DRIVING TO WORK in the morning and more conservatives watching the news in the evenings when the return home from work. What are all the liberals busy doing???

It only seems prevalent from your point of view. Conservatives see the media (minus Fox News and talk radio) overrun by liberal leaning people, and with good reason. It has been shown time and time again the vast majority of journalists, editors and producers in the media are liberals, WAY left of the general public.
So the real question is...When you consider that the majority of news, information and entertainment comes with a liberal slant, who's really telling people what to think?

You proceed from a false assumption. I was a conservative before anyone outside of Missouri ever heard of Rush Limbaugh and well before Fox News Channel came along. They tend to draw conclusions similar to mine AFTER I've already come to them.
As far as it being more prevalent on the conservative side, my liberal acquaintances/sparring partners seem to spend more time telling me what so and so on NPR or this or that journal says than what they say. They also seem to try and tell me what I believe based on what they think Limbaugh or Coulter says rather than ASKING me what I believe.

Where exactly do you get your information about the world?
I don't get my opinions from anyone. I develop my own opinions based on the information presented to me.
Did you know that Rush (and Fox news) have a high percentage of Liberals watching? It's because some folks like to argue. So, in effect, it is the Liberal audience that is helping to feed opinionated entertainers such as Rush.

The liberals have MSNBC, and Air America. I have listened to both. Chris Matthews and Keith Oblerman are hatefull towards the conservatives. People complain about Fox but to really hear hate they need to watch MSNBC

I'd love to roam the earth to where the news stories happen and interview each of the main players in the story, so I could try to get "the truth", but I work for a living, and don't have time for it. Therefore, I have to choose my source for information from those available to me. Of the bunch, Fox does tend to do the reporting, and if there is any editorializing, they'll bring in more than one point of view for balance. Because of this practice, they have grown in audience rating and surpassed the other networks who tend to have editorializations in their stories, and when interviewing experts, they tend to have someone left of center and then way left of center. Is this where you want us to get our news from instead? I think Fox reports, and I decide :)

I like to go to various new sources but, I do listen to fox or whatever news outlet that I have available to me. I like to go to www.pravadu.com and aljezera.com and BBC news as well. There are so many outlets what makes you think I only read fox? I screen what I read and hear by forcing to myself to read and hear about liberal views. Which so far til today I am still waiting for their plan. They have yet til this has yet to let us we the people know what their agenda for America will be?

Fox News and talk radio get all their good ideas from ME!
It's tough being brilliant.
:)
PS I answered flippantly because I generally see no use in attacking the messenger. if there's some SUBSTANTIVE issue you disagree on, we'd be better served by discussing that issue, not the attributes of people holding certain views.
Just my opinion.
