I think she definitely will - she is an author after all, and although she wouldn't need the extra money I think she will. She's been writing since a little kid and I don't think she'll stop just because of the success of Harry Potter. Obviously however (she has even admitted this herself) nothing she writes can ever really be as successfull as Potter is.

She has already practically confirmed that she will write a sort of 'Harry Potter Encyclopedia' which will be full of tidbits that never made it in the Potter series.

According to J.K. Rowling, she MIGHT write another book, or MAYBE even book 8 of Harry Potter, but she believes that Harry Potter will be the best book she ever wrote on as good ideas don't come twice.

Probably, but if I were her I'd write the first few with a pen name, because I'm sure everyone would expect the books to be equal or greater than Harry Potter, which isn't necessarily fair for her. but her name would probably increase her "other" book sales, and if I were her I'd be worried about disappointing fans...but maybe she'll write children's picture books njow or something. She should write some more, as she's very talented.

I have heard that she will write more spinoffs from the books (like textbooks they read in the series) and donate the money from that to charity.
I don't think that she will write a new series for quite a while at least, because whatever she writes will always be compared to Harry Potter. But as writing is so evidently in her soul, she will probably want to write more, but I don't think anything else she writes will be related to HP in any way.

Psychic Friends says that JK will write 2 more books that will not do well and move out of the public eye to live quietly in Scotland until she passes away at the age of 82.

The Tarot Cards say no more books, ever.

My Rice Krispies say that JK will write another Potter book in 10 years after her other 'more adult' books fail miserably.

My neighbor's brother's friend's cousin's dentist's daughter's best friend said that the 8th Harry Potter book will out in 2010.

I think that she has made enough off of the HP series to take a LONG break, but I do think that she will write again. I don't know if it will be another series, but I do think she will write. An author not writing useless.

I can't wait for more of her books. I will read them no matter what she writes about. She has an amazing imagination, and I'd love to see what else she could come up with.

she may but i think she has got bored of ripping off the literary world and won't be able to steal any more ideas.

don't get me wrong i read HP when i wanna switch my brain off,i only ever think when it comes to where she stole some idea or othe from!

Katy Bell, now where is she from,in a popular series of books from way back in the 80s?
A diary writer?

I think she definately could write another series but I sort of hope she doesn't because I like the way it ended in the last book.

I think that eventually she will but I doubt it will be as long as the HP series. I also think that it won't have any witches and wizards but will take a different path entirely.

But that's all speculation on my part. I enjoy her writing and I hope she comes out with something else.
