What can I do to prepare for a small role in a movie?

I have a couple of lines and have never done this professionaly. By luck some guy saw the movies I made for fun & school projects and thought I had a natural talent.
Can anyone give me some tips?

It's hard to give you tips without knowing what the character and lines are, but... Don't over do it. Think about who your character is, why she's there, what she's doing and most importantly who and what she's reacting to. Try not to anticipate your cue lines in order to react to them properly. Well, if you are playing a small role like an extra almost, try to really create your character. Don't just be the "extra." Write down a back story to your character so when you say your line, you say it like it would be said. Create a name for yourself (if you haven't got on in the play) and help use it to your advantages.

If you really want to impress, study all the underlying messages in the movie/play. Think and write down what you think the writer was trying to get across and maybe...if the director lets you...you can discuss this with him to show him you are really dedicated.

Whenever you do anything for this movie, make sure to act and look professional. Go over your lines everyday and keep going over them even if you already havethem memorized. The day of filming, make sure to have a good breakfast! Have Fun!!! Good Luck!

Since the person believes that you have a natural talent, you can try to memorise your lines well, be confident, and do what you always do.

try to do what you did in ur skool projects + relax !! also dnt try to hard if he thinks you have natural talent. :)
