Yamaha make exciting bikes but Honda make good all round packages. So say Honda.

We have this fight all the time too.

Yamaha Two stroke dirt bikes are a bit faster than Honda, and they are both about the same reliability wise. My CR250R is a good bike, and with proper maintenance should last me for a long time.

Honda four stroke dirt bikes are better than Yamaha. They are faster, more reliable, lighter, have better suspension, etc,

Yamaha atv's are a little faster, but they are also unreliable. Sure, my buddy's YFZ450 is a bit quicker than my 450R, but my 450R doesn't leak oil, my 450R doesn't have electrical problems, and my 450R has never left me stranded on the trails.

These are the reasons I choose Honda over Yamaha. That being said though, my next machine will be a KTM.

I think for performance, Yamaha is much better. The only downfall to the highly tuned race bikes that they make is that they are more for experiened riders than for beginers.

The Hondas are more user friendly.

If I was going to race one of those two bikes I'd pick the Yamaha
Starting out while I am trying to learn I go for the Honda

My daughter has a Yammi & I have a Honda, her two stroke is a blast to ride its quick and fun and the same is true for my Honda. The choice is really yours as long as its a good ride what difference does the name badge make.

Honda! Top notch performance and reputation for civility. Bikes with classic looks and no carnival graphics... except for the Erion CBR929... now that's an ugly paint job.

Waht ever you like, my dad had Yamaha's, and I have had nothing but Yamaha's. You could always do a comparision of two alike bikes and see what you perfer.

that argument has been going on since the first time to owners got together. And it will go on forever. Both have good and bad points. I've owned several of both. Stop worrying about which one is better, enjoy what you have and get on with life. Don't put someone elses ride down, and eventually they will stop too.

They are both very durable and well-equipped. In my opinion, Honda has more experienced with engine since they make good cars too.
My vote is on Honda
But really, they are both good.
