We've recently bought a new house and the sod has just been laid. I was wondering how long should you wait to put down ie..patio furnitue, also how long befor eyou walk on it?

Wait a month or so before any significant traffic (you can walk a little, but no dogs or kids). It will need an hour or two of watering every day.
Patio furniture is a bad idea on any lawn. It will create areas of shade and foot traffic that will damage and kill the grass. Keep the furniture on the patio.

We just laid down some new sod at our home. It has taken about three weeks for the grass to become well situated. Walking on it isn't the major problem but I would definely not put any lawn furniture on it for a while. Wait till you have mowed it a couple of times. It should be okay by then.
