Mrs. Edwards has sworn off tangerines in an attempt to fight global warming! You know it requires gasoline to ship those tangerines to NC from the port to where they are shipped for distribution here in the States.

As some of you have pointed out, isn't this nothing more than another liberal telling us how we should live while he/she flies around in his/her private jet with not a care in the world?

Yep! What's she going to do if there is no local toilet paper company? She going to start wiping her butt with a washcloth? *laughter*

Don't get me wrong! There is NOTHING wrong with local markets. The one here in town is a fun place to go on the way home from Church on Sundays. It is a weekend market only. There are other local markets that are open all week, but the closest one is open only on Sunday mornings six months out of-the-year.

Is she going to add the fuel she and her hubby/presidential candidate use to fly their private jet? MOST of that fuel may not be manufactured (distilled) in North Carolina! She ought to be using fuels for her jet that come from NC too!

Well those with cancer are medically advised to stay away from vitamin C when undergoing treatments, so she had probably given them up a time ago. (My wife had cancer years ago).

This is just another leftist fad (global warming and peoples supposed "life changes"). Give it about two months after the general election and they will have long forgot about this and moved on to the next "save the world" cause.

Perhaps fossil fuels involved in the transportation of tangerines and the Edwards" fight" against them would be better used for other things should this family be serious about this issue.

What a joke!! There is more of a carbon print from the Edwards flying their private jet around than in the shipping of the tangerines and the tangerines have more of a benefit to more people.

Yes, yes that will stop global warming. However, we have to be careful here. If everybody stops eating the insidious tangerine it cause another ice-age! Only a select few should be allowed to eat this evil fruit. I understand Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan enjoy the occasional tangerine and they should be permitted to indulge, otherwise, they (the tangerine, not Paris or Lindsay) should be off limits to the rest of us! Speaking for myself, I've committed to enjoying the occasional orange to do my part in halting global warming. (Paid for by the Orange Growers of the United States).

Is she also going to use only locally made products, too? Or just doing the easy, limousine-liberal-type lifestyle changes?

Not eating tangerines is easy. But is there any electronic equipment made in NC? How about designer dresses made in NC? Beauty products? Cleaning products? Cookware? Flatware? The gasoline for their vehicles?

Bah! It's a meaningless gesture!

Of course it will. Don't be silly.
Tangerines are probably one of the single greatest threats to modern society there is.
Vote Edwards 08!

So she is converting to only locally grown organic foods. I guess with the vitamin supplements (that need to be shipped in too) it will prevent her from getting scurvy.
