We used to have a gas grill. Where can I dispose of the old tanks? My husband collected several of them. They're empty I think, I dont really know.

Depending on how old the tank is (there is a date code stamped on them) they may not be refillable. Where we live the municipality accepts propane tanks for safe disposal and then they recycle the metal. I would try to get rid of them in that manner.

If they have the newest safety type valve on them (3 spoke handle) you can sell them. If they are the old type, take them to a propane dealer and donate them.

Sell them. They cost $30-50 new. Or take them to the local propane place. They will take them off your hands...and then sell them.
