Yes, this happens with some frequency and most such infants develop normally.

Rarely, however, a formerly hypotonic infant will start gaining weight at an abnormal rate. Such infants might be evaluated for Prader-Willy syndrome.

yes i had two children with low muscle tone..mine all started walking at 13 mths my youngest with the most problems started 2 dags before he woulda hit 14 mths just keep trying..
