In a couple of months.... we have to be out of our apartment by midnight, and we can't move into our next apartment by noon, 7 miles down the street. Your thoughts on how to coordinate this?

Go figure! Tough situation! The only thing you could do would be to, put everything in storage, and stay the night at a hotel. Or rent a u-hual and rent a room and park it outside until the next day... There are no other choices... sorry! Good luck!

I agree with OrdinaryGuy: Get a storage unit of some sort and start putting everything but absolute necessities in it. That way when you have to go, you won't have much stuff to move besides furniture.

Good luck with your move!

Depending on how much stuff you have, you could rent a moving truck for two days and store your stuff in it overnight.

Get a pod. You can have them deliver it early and fill it up and then take it to the new place until it is time to unload.
