First of all, what's the criteria? Are we going by IQ, or something else? Everyone knows a lot about some things and nothing about others. It all depends on your experiences and what you've been exposed to. You can always learn more about any topic of your choosing, but does that truly make you smart, or are you just regurgitating information you've gotten from books, etc? Does smart = good memory? Maybe it is based on your ability to quickly grasp new concepts? I don't know what the answer to this question might be... I may have learned more than some people, but less than others. I have a higher IQ than some people, but lower than others. Where do you draw the line between smart and stupid?

You say rocket scientist and everyone thinks SMART! But you take that person out of their element and into a different situation and they will be stupid. So it comes to this. Everyone is smart about some things and stupid about others. I have a friend who can make your computer stand on it's head but I had to show him how to put a belt on his vacuum.
