Yes, the government has been using psychological terrorism on American people, but it's not only for war support but for everything else. The government is being manipulated by the Federal Reserve Bank (close ties with David Rockefeller who is the grandson of John D. Rockefeller - the oil tycoon, aka the richest man ever in the USA as a percentage of GDP), and then the government manipulates the people of the USA to get the things they want, and they use fear and destruction to get that. For instance the Lusitainia was sunk by Germans but the government provoked the Germans to sink it (the government had many many warnings about any ship that was to go into German waters would be sunk and the government didn't care because they wanted to get the American people on thier side by getting some "expendable" people killed) because the government wanted to go to war.

I know people who think every time there is an announcement of a terroristic threat or even arrests are made or plots broken up, that it's just Bush's minions trying to drum up support to invade Iran. I, however, recognize that radical Islam IS out to destroy us by any means possible, and that we allow millions of foreign Muslims into our country, therefore I am not so naive to think that there is no threat. I think the point needs to be made to the public that our military IS fighting radical Islam in its spawning ground and if the democrats manage to force us to retreat there will be a HUGE psychological victory for them. Basically we will have proven Osama right, that America is nothing more than a paper tiger with no resolve. I don't doubt that our retreat would give our enemies much more freedom to organize and operate from what would soon become an Islamic super power. I think we are winning, I think the noose is tightening around our enemies and our continued exertion of force should not waiver. This is a potentially more serious threat than Nazism was.

Of course it has. Playing the holier than thou card is a wonderful way to get the American people to get on their soapbox and talk mess about how their own backyard has no weeds.By constantly talking about the Iraqi government and how we know what's best for them and how they have been oppressed.

Sure. The real question is how Bush got so many people to pose as terrorists and get caught plotting attacks.

Of course, we both know that I am being sarcastic because the question does not merit a serious answer.

No they are not.

In fact every time you see somebody crowing about the number of troops killed in Iraq - you are seeing an example of psychological terrorism.

The Americans are supposed to be the most modern and superior thinking people. Psychological terrorism is just a phrase for those who opposed the war. The Bush administration was voted into office and therefore, the American people deserved it.

That's pretty obvious.

People respond to fear -- and fear causes them to demand security, often at any cost. So, if the govt can get people afraid, the people will turn to the govt for protection.

Just look at the reactions of people after every major announcement of a "new threat discovered".... and how those coincidentally always happen right around the time people are starting to question govt activities.

It's psychological manipulation that would make Machiavelli proud.

No, the national media would never let the government get by with this.

of course....that's how governments/leaders have always generated support for war. For most of history, soldiers have gone off to war having no idea why except their leaders told them they should.
