Man will never reach the ends of human science, he will have destroyed the planet long before that!

Considering that possibilities are infinite, the only thing that can stop us is the end of the race itself.
This is more a mathematical answer than a strictly philosophical one.
But in the end, all science, and all existence, is supported by numbers!

Three scientific ends which I hope are achieved would be...

1. A cure for cancer.

2. The final and irrefutable proof that God (or deity by any other name) does not exist.

3. A cure for AIDS

All of these discoveries would prolong the lives of millions of people. Whether they are achieved in my lifetime is another matter but I hope that at least one of them will.

Science creates more science - so the answer must be that he won't. But I suppose a theoretical "end" to it must be when he recreates the perfect human being.

Impssible to tell, as new things are created, new problems arise. New things are discovered that re write the rule etc etc etc. There is no predictable outcome.
Sounds like this question is heading towards sigularity theory. You should have a look at that.
