I need to buy something, I'm tired of hand raking the dead grass. Does anybody have any advice on what I should buy?

A grass bagger works much better but is more expensive. A yard sweep will work fairly well. It is cheaper but it doesn't work as well as the bagger and it will take a little longer to sweep up the yard because you have to go back over the yard a second time.

If you want a cheap fairly good solution, get the yard sweeper.

If you don't care about the money and want the best solution, get the bagger.

For the last many years, I've used a mulcher mower. What this is , is basically a mower with a type of blade that chops the grass into very small pieces that don't need to be raked. A friend of mine had trouble with grass getting into his pool because of the way he had to mow. It was hit the landscaping or the water. He opted for the landscaping. Anyway I told him there were kits available to convert mowers. They consist of a discharge plat and blade. It's very easy to install. He's very happy with his (and he's not easily pleased). If you're buying new, there are dozens of models to chose from that are ready to go.
