...can it be argued that an objective reality does not in fact exist?

And if one argues that an objective reality does not exist, could it not be furthered that our very existance is in question; i.e. we are only here because we perceive that we are here?

And if our very existance is called into question, you've stopped reading, haven't you?

Dude, you are getting deep on us... But seriously, there is a Buddhist concept called Kyochi Myogo... It is the objective reality and through chanting and meditation a person has the subjective wisdom to perceive it...
Man, that gave me a headache, thinking so early...
p.s. You know that many comedians are really philosophers,,,(or at least studied it)

The relation is there, but... Perspective is reality. How one sees the world. How one interprets it, how he will react to it. That is that person's reality. Reality itself is subjective. There are rules and laws and some people subscribes to certain things and label themselves this and that... anyway. Many people live in their own world. Living the good life is where you have freedom, the ability to weave your surroundings. People are like books. There are stories, volumes, inside. Enough to write a reality. Blah, psychobabble nonsense. EDIT: Upon reading the other answers, I think I Yaoi got it right :]

We're subjectively relating to you, F.D., so you do indeed exist. No worries.
