This issue/topic is of great interest to me personally. Please - Republicans: Don't come into this questions thumping your chests and downgrading him.. Leave that for other questions please.

All I am asking is that those that follow politics give their opinions of the probability of Gore running, and the impact it would have on the Presidency.

I don't think he will, frankly. As it is, he's very influential, at least in the sense that he has the ear of every candidate, and he can be shielded from any and all criticism by surrounding himself with people that depend on him for their livelihood. Media people are not on the attack against him, they just want him to talk about his book or the current candidates and policies, and he's free to speak favorably about any and all Democrats.

If he runs, the dynamic changes. Suddenly the candidates that are his friends will be attacking him, and his handlers won't let him speak favorably about them, and the media is looking at him like a potential victim.

He won't run. He's enjoying his current celebrity too much to screw it up for nothing.

Running for office takes money and lot's of it. Money that Al Gore's voter base no longer has. They gave it to either Hillary or Obama in record breaking amounts.
The money well is drying up now, Al Gore is on the pier and the ship has sailed.

I would love to see Al Gore join the campaign
he would take so many votes away from Hillary that Obama would win the primary
and they the Republicans could continue in the White House

I doubt it. There are some issues that might personally dog him in another run for the WH. One is his environmental stance, when his electric bill for his mansion in Tennessee runs over $13,000 a month, and his son getting arrested in Orange County, CA for having a bunch of pills and pot in the car. He would be attacked for being a hypocrite on the environment and having a druggie son.

No. I don't really think he has the "Stomach" for it anymore.
I think he was very affected by losing in 2000, and has finally moved on.
He is getting even Richer than he ever was from his Dad's money and his Tobacco Farms.
This Carbon credit thing he has going is a nice Scam.....errrr.....Business.....

Well, he would have to come face to face with Hillary, and at this point, I don't think he can beat her.

He would never take the VP seat to another Clinton, and she would certainly not take VP to him.

So I think he will stay out of politics. If he were going to announce, he would have on the Earth concerts, I think.

If he does run which I doubt he will it will be used only to throw votes away from one party to the other. But, he will not win.
