Not sure how all this works yet only been doing it for a week!! How come soo many people ask for votes and stars and stuff? Is this allowed?

Thanks to everyone for all your help it is greatly appreciated!! Just one more thing, when a question ends and it is put to vote, how do you vote for them? Where do I go?

Beside your avatar it says total points. click on that for an explanation of the point system. As for what is allowed, you really want to read the terms of use and community guidelines.

This is probably the wrong category for this question but if you ask for those stuff, you get more points and if you get more points, you get to a higher level. I think that this is allowed but I'm not sure. Loads of people do it, though, so I'm guessing it's allowed. I don't know why people want to get to higher levels though...Anyway,
if you ask a question, you get -5 points.

vote, +1,
Get chosen as best anser, +10

you need to answer as many questions you are allowed for your level and vote on as many you can too to get the max points daily and you soon will get to higher levels
as for stars they dont really mean anything
voted if you are voted best answer you get 10 points for best answer

stars don't do anything for you, people just like to have them. it's not against the rules as far as i know, but it's kind of childish. People would like you to vote their answer as best in the voting section. And people want thumbs up because if their answer is chosen as best, they get one point for every thumbs up (up to 50), plus the 10 points for best answer

you can star a Q and not answer it,makes it easier to find it later to see what others say and then you may wont to give your answer.
