I have a 1988 CBR 1000 that is overheating. I want to check the coolant level but can't find the radiator cap or overflow reservoir.

This stuff is easy on a car - it's all in plain view. I'm sure I can find it if I take off all the panels and start digging around but I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me precisely where to look.

Thanks!

On a 87 CBR 600 THE CAP IS under the gas tank. The over flow tank is under the right rear body work. If fluid is in overfow that means radiator is full. Can you hear fan running? Thermostat is pretty much just below cap housing. 2 bolts its out. The senser in rad turns on fan. make sure wire is connected.
