Just in case you might get misguided. You will bleed in the water. Your body does NOT stop bleeding simply because you're in the water, regardless of whether you're taking a bath, a shower or in a pool. Re-think your option on tampons. They're not painful, you won't know they're there. There are "cup" options that catch your flow. That's an option for you as well. wearing a pad to a water park is a bad idea for a whole bunch of reasons. Go have a good time, buy some tampons, don't be scared.

There is really nothing else you can do. You can wear a pad but it will get soaked and you probably won't have a good time if you do that anyway. I say just use a tampon. They work great and you can get the junior ones so you will be comfortable. You don't want to have to worry about it the whole time you are enjoying the water. Tampons are going to be the easiest solution and will eliminate the possibility of an accident and getting embarrassed.

If you want to go ,you will have to make a sacrifice! It 's not a big deal wearing a tampon four a couple of ours! You can use the tampon before you go into the water and don't stay for a long time in the water...or you just can go and don't go into the water. If you blood is decreased ,you can go normally and after you finish you can wear your menstrual cloth. If your period is during the 2-3 days ,you will probably have pain after that

well, dont put the tampon in until after you get to the water park. when you get to the park go to the bathroom and put the tampon in. you must be a little younger i take it, so just take a couple of deep breaths and relax before you insert it. wearing a tampon is the only way you will get to go swimming without having to worry about bleeding all over the place. no one will ever know that you are wearing one. if you are afraid it is going to hurt, dont. it doesnt hurt. if you put it in and it is uncomfortable then it is not in far enough, take it out and try again. you really should get useed to it though it is so much better than having a nasty bulky bloody pad between your legs.

i saw where someone said to cut the string shorter.... that is a NONONONONONO!!!! what is she supposed to do if she cuts it to short and cant get it out. that was stupid advice.

Either suck it up and use a tampon or stay home. There really isn't any other options. Pads will soak up water, swell up so that it looks like you are wearing a diaper and be very uncomfortable. You have to wear tampons if you are going to go swimming (or on water rides).

You got two options.

One, wear a pad and don't go swimming.

Two, wear a tampon and go swimming. Are you afraid of tampons? You shouldn't be, there pretty easy.
Just make sure you insert it correctly and you should be fine, and no, they don't hurt... Try it out.

Don't worry about it, once it's inserted, you won't even know. So relax and have fun at the water park.

Hope this helps. :O)

There is a barrier method like a cup that you can find in the sanitary section.

Otherwise you could just take your chances with a pad and plastic panties.

Unless the tampons create unbearable pain, you may just have to wear one on that day.

The other option is not to go.

Go to the water park and don't go in the water or wear a pad. Have fun.

you need to wear a tampon, I know it's not what you want to here but you need to. Unless you get one of those cup things? I am in the same boat. I have my period and I am going to a waterpark in about 2 hours! Yikes!
