Some routers actually have it written on them. My 2Wire router has it on the underbelly in one label, the router serial number in another.
Open your router settings in a browser window and look under Wireless.
on your wireless router in the security section. If you cant connect to your router because you havnt got the wireless key youll need to connect via LAN cable and then change the secruity settings.

I am writing as fast as I can. However, I cannot walk over to the router and look at it. You can. Walk over to the modem you have. Look at its WAN port (sometimes called internet feed). Trace the cable from the modem WAN port to the WAN port of the router. Now that you see the router, look at ti. It has its brand name, model #, and related info on it. Common household router brands are Linksys, Netgear, D Link, Belkin, 3 Com. You also may have an integrated modem / router from your ISP in which case there is no separate router - it is one box that does it all.

Do you have a wireless access point now? If you do, contact the person who configured it as they have the ssid and related matters.

We cannot help you any further from here.

Try in your internet browser to goto 192.168.0.1 or try replacing the last '1' with 0 or 2. See if it brings up a wireless utility. Search through it and find this info in the 'Wireless' or 'WLAN' settings. Each router wireless utility differs so look around.
