Hope there is someone out there that can help me.
I have cross-stitched a birth sampler for my daughter, (it has her name, date of birth, weight when she was born etc), but somewhere along the line i have managed to get a stain on the aida...i'm thinking its coffee.
The only thing is, it's been on there for a while. I did try using a cotton bud with some soapy water on it, but it didnt seem to budge. Its in an awkward place as its right next to some of the thread. I was going to just leave it on there, but it seems such a shame after all the time i spent stitching it!

I wondered if you nice people out there had any suggestions??? (i live in england, so would appreciate purchase suggestions that i can get here!!!)

Thanks ever so. x

I have spilled on my cross stitching before and I used spray and wash to remove the stain. I don't know if that is available where you are. If not, try laundry soap and a toothbrush to scrub it out. Also, if the background is white maybe a bleach pen just on the spot? Good luck

Try washing it a few times with a gentle liquid hand wash - not the powder as it might leave a gritty reisdue - rinsing out thoroughly in cold water each time. Other than that, try checking out one of the cross stitching web sites, and see if anyone on there can offer advice. Try the two links below, for washing advice
