Slow & sultry..like Jessica Rabbits song off 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit.' I got Peggy Lees original (do it right), but that was to fast. I'm looking for more slow, sexy songs from the old days. Thanks in advance :)

I am a jazz keyboardist who does mostly instrumental work. Two of my favorites are:
(1) "Angel Eyes" by the jazz composer Matt Dennis is very slow and sultry and one of the few songs I could play every night! Several singers have recorded a vocal version.

(2) "Georgia on My Mind" by the great composer Hogie Carmichael which is more well-known and perhaps more "mainstream" since so many people have done it.

One by a more modern composer that can be done very slow and sultry is James Taylor "Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight".

Peggy Lee was infamous for her sultry takes on many tunes, jazz and not. I have several of her albums in my collection. But La Lee went to school on Julie London for slow, sultry and sexy. Check out London's version of "Cry Me a River"--it is one of the slowest and sultriest ever! She is great on "I've Got a Crush on You", "I Surrender Dear", "Snuggled On Your Shoulder", "Go Slow", "It's Good To Want You Bad", and my personal favorites "If I Could Be With You" and "I Want to Be Loved". I still remember Julie was so sexy, I was embarrassed to listen to her with my parents in the same room!

Can't beat "I Want A Little Sugar In My Bowl" by Nina Simone. One of the sultriest songs ever written, I think.

Well, it's not old, but for sexy jazz you could try songs by Bitter:Sweet.
