How far up your own backside did you have to reach in order to turn Britney and Lindsay into a "Liberal" post?
These two aren't liberals... they're spoiled rotten brats who had nothing to offer the world but their bodies. Britney has no talent whatsoever. She looked good to some so she got a recording contract. Now that she's in her mid 20s and walks around pudgy, unwashed and barefoot she's hardly a catch. The only people who are still interested are the same type of people who slow down to get a better look at a car accident.
Lindsay is obviously addicted to drugs and needs a good stay at a rehab center... NOT A COUNTRY CLUB!!! She was handed fame and fortune before she was an adult and has no idea on how to handle herself or her good fortune.
This is typical celebrity behavior. Do you know how I know? Because when conservative Christian Mel Gibson got pulled over he was drunk as well as screaming anti-Semitic tirades. When you're given that much adoration and money, you tend to think you're invincible.
Stop making this a liberal problem. Britney and Lindsay don't have political views. They're not intelligent enough to care about these things. They're spoiled party-girls who need some serious help.

No. It's an indication that Lindsay and Brittany are misguided adolescents who (like many kids in their age bracket, some older, but most younger) make dumb decisions because they think they are going to live forever. Having lots of money simply greases the stupidity slide for them. I pray that they get their lives together, if for no other reason than they are admired by lots of other kids. In the meantime, I hope authorities REALLY THROW THE BOOK AT THEM (especially Lindsay, out on bail awaiting trial for the same offense!) to make an example for those who admire them that you have to pay the piper if you want to play.

Actually they are much more indicative of the damage done to kids when they don't ever get to have a real childhood because they are too busy being used as a meal ticket by their families. Both of these girls have been virtually pimped out since they were little kids,and like many child stars they are screwed up now,it happens all the time,it's just that nowadays it gets more coverage.

NO. These are spoiled young women with too much money, and no supervision.
I am a hard core liberal that has raised 2 daughters that are responsible, mature, educated, wives and mothers.
So, cut this crap about how liberals are causing the fall of society. If a full 1/2 of this country's population are liberals, don't you think we could have done a better job of destroying it by now?

No, not really.
They are a very Public example (Along with Gore's son), of the damage fame, and Drug Addiction can do.
Drugs and Alcohol are the "Sollution" to deeper problems.
Addiction effects 1 in 10 Americans and all of us know someone whose life has been messed up by it.
Addiction does not care if you are Rich, Poor, Rep., Dem. Black or White.
Pray for their recovery.
It's been going on a long time.

I think both cases are indicative of the dangers of drugs and alcohol. I think they are testimonies about the dangers of chemical addiction
And I think its indicative of something else that you want to misuse these public/personal breakdowns for some cheap political point.

This is coming from the same people that give a free pass to Scooter Libby and W (illegal war where people die). This administration is letting US soldiers and Iraqi civilians die so they won't be labeled as "Cut and Run"! The only reason our victimized troops are in danger is so that these crooks can pass this mess off to the next administration!
And then conservatives have the nerve to imply that they favor PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY more than liberals do by pointing to a couple of spoiled Hollywood starlets!?!

there is nothing wrong with some emphasis on the individual as long as said individual realizes they should help others as well- another liberal ideal.

it is sad that so many young people today have no heroes.
athletes and musicians are paid obscene amounts of money and instead of being grateful they can live the American dream, they choose to place themselves above the common folk and the law.
the morals and ethic of our public figures, including politicians, have influenced our young in such a negative way.
no one accepts personal responsibility for their actions anymore. schools cannot punish negative behavior and if they try, they are sued by the ACLU.
the failure of the structure of the American family is a large contributor also, single parents are stressed making a living and are mostly absent parents or in some cases, just excuse liability of their children's actions.
if you look at the fall of any civilization, the cause is usually, a decay of morality and ethics from within, however that culture defines them.
